AUF REHA

AUF REHA is an ongoing project and is focused on the process with the handling and management of accidents and misfortunes. By a fall from a great height in 2012 and the fracture of both heels I initiated in a rehab center with five other inmates, the project called AUF REHA (ON REHABILITATION). How do people handle such a strong incision in their life? What led to such an event? How do i react to it and what can this lead for a deeper insight to the person? And how strong is an attempt to an integration into society through a rehabilitation?

These were questions I asked myself after my accident and I wanted to share these questions with people who had a similar “destiny”. A common ACCOMPANY development and research into the causes, conditions, and then to find answers. The first phase of the project was the AUF REHA interviews and questions about the accidents. This interviews happened in the rehabilitation center Weisser Hof close to Vienna. The next step is to visit the 5 persons to exchange and speak with them about their ongoing healing process and how they manage their everyday life. One of the last parts of the project is the ACCOMPANY of the 5 people with my project HIN I EIN I WANDERN 2014, walking from Vienna 330 km to south east Austria. From the urban to the rural area.
